Henry Nicholls: News
A middle-order batsman with a rock-solid technique but has a wide array of aggressive shots in his repertoire, New Zealand cricketer Henry Nicholls has become a mainstay in the team's batting order in both Tests and ODIs with his runs. Nicholls performed impressively in the 2014-15 domestic season. In the Ford Trophy, New Zealand's List A tournament, he finished with an average of 75.66 and claimed his spot in the national team setup. Impressive domestic performances coupled with the form with New Zealand A earned him his first national team call-up. Nicholls made his debut in an ODI series against Sri Lanka in 2015. Although he did not have the most impressive of starts to his career, soon he started making big scores as he did in the domestic circuit. A white ball specialist by nature, performances against the red ball since making his Test debut in 2016 against Australia has made Nicholls an invaluable asset in Tests. He was part of the squad that beat India and won the World Test Championship mace in 2021.
